Steve Smith
HR Director
Steve joined the Human Resource Department in January of 2005 as the Human Resource Manager. Steve has more than twenty-five years of management experience, prior to coming to Dry Creek Rancheria, he worked as the Personnel Director for Mendocino County, the Human Resource Manager for the Marin Municipal Water District and as HR Generalist for several public agencies. In addition to his Human Resource experience, he also taught in the Native American Studies Programs at Santa Rosa JC and Sonoma State University. Steve holds a BA Degree in Sociology from Sonoma State University and a Masters Degree from University of California at Berkeley in Hospital Administration and Planning.
Felecia Cordova
Employee Relations Manager:
Felecia has been with DCR/River Rock Casino since December, 2002. As the Employee Relations Manager, Felecia's responsibilities are to mediate any employee conflicts amongst the employees and managers, as well as working with the employees to ensure fairness and equality. Felecia worked at the Sonoma County Indian Health Project for five (5) years as an Administrative Assistant, and prior to leaving was the Patient Services Coordinator.
Dana Sullivan
Recruiting Manager
Dana joined the company in August, 2002; she is in charge of the recruiting function for River Rock Casino and Dry Creek Rancheria. Dana holds a BS Degree in Business Administration from Sonoma State University and has an extensive background in Recruiting and Human Resources. She has worked as a Recruiter and HR Generalist in corporate and private industry including, hospitality, accounting/finance, non-profit and engineering.
Sheila Hanley
Training Manager
Sheila joined the Human Resource Department in October of 2007. Prior to that time Sheila worked up at River Rock Casino for two years as the Guest Services Assistant Manager. Sheila has fifteen years of management experience. Prior to coming to Dry Creek Rancheria, she worked as a Materials Manager for Agilent Technologies, a Production Supervisor for Hewlett Packard, and a Stent Manufacturing Supervisor for Medtronic. Sheila holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Organizational Behavior from University of San Francisco with honors, and is in her final semester of receiving her Masters of Science Degree from National University in Organizational Leadership.
Staci Smilie
Workers Compensation/Employment Specialist
Staci joined the company in August, 2002; she is responsible for filing and monitoring all Workers' Compensation Claims for River Rock Casino and Dry Creek Rancheria as well assisting in the recruiting process. Staci holds a BS Degree in Accounting from California State University Sacramento and had previously held HR positions in both the retail and manufacturing industries.
Kim Nelson
Benefits Administrator
Kim joined the company in May 2006; she is in charge of administering our benefit programs and performance review management for River Rock Casino and Dry Creek Rancheria. Kim possesses a Certificate in Human Resource Management and has 12 years experience in Human Resources that she brings to us from the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. She's worked in all of areas of HR while employed at the Federal Reserve specializing in benefits and retirement plans.
Sheryl Johnson
HR Training Specialist
Sheryl joined the company in April, 2005; she is responsible for the coordination of all trainings as well as assisting with other HR functions as needed for River Rock Casino and Dry Creek Rancheria. Sheryl holds a BA degree in Psychology and Women's Gender Studies from Sonoma State University and is new to the HR field. While Sheryl is new to the HR industry, she has many years of experience counseling teenage girls at her local church in Windsor.
Ursula Luna
Employee Relations Coordinator
Ursula joined the company in March, 2002 as the Administrative Assistant to the Gaming Commissioners and transferred to HR in September, 2004. She is responsible for processing and filing all Terminations, Resignations, Attendance Calendars and Board of Review Hearings for River Rock Casino and Dry Creek Rancheria as well assisting the Employee Relations Manager. Ursula has over 10 years experience in Administrative and HR field previously in the distribution and petroleum industries. Ursula attended Santa Rosa JC for 4 years studying in the Business Administration and Physical Education fields and currently holds a Notary Public Commission for the State of California
Lydia Aguayo
Benefits Coordinator
Lydia is a Pomo affiliated with Dry Creek, Manchester-Point Arena, and Stewarts Point Kashia Band of Pomo Indians. She brings 30 years experience working in various Administrative positions that include Payroll, Accounts Payable, Community Resources, Accounts Receivable. Lydia started with the company in 2002 in the Gaming Commission as a Licensing Specialist and transferred to Human Resources in 2004. In her current position, she is responsible for the day to day administration of health and retirement plans. She processes employee enrollments, responds to employee inquires and resolves general eligibility issues.
Dalilia Guevara
HR Admin/Receptionist
Dalilia is a tribal member with Dry Creek Rancheria. She joined the company in 2003 working in the Gift Shop at River Rock Casino and then transferred to the Human Resources Department in 2004 as an HR Admin/Receptionist. Dalilia is responsible for all the reception duties, as well as, new hire orientations and recruitment coordination. Dalilia provides bilingual assistance to all staff members. Dalilia is a graduate from Rancho Cotati High School with a background in Customer Service.
